The Oldest Restaurant In Coral Gables
Swensen’s Miami has been in the same Coral Gables location on South Dixie Highway since 1971. This makes us a landmark as the oldest restaurant in Coral Gables.
Our guests relax in our booth tables and await one of our grill specialties such as a gourmet burger, a mega melt or a signature salad. In the meantime watch as our staff prepare delicious sundaes, milkshakes and smoothies at the soda fountain. If one of our sundaes does not catch your attention then wander over to the ice cream parlor where over forty flavors help you to cool down from the Miami heat.
The Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor
The first Swensen’s opened in 1948, and a new American “icon” was born. Founder Earle Swensen knew he could succeed if he gave his customers three things…quality, quantity, and value for their money. By good old fashioned trial and error, Earle Swensen developed a perfect blend to ensure that Swensen’s customers would get the maximum taste from each and every flavor.
Over the years Swensen’s has recognized that America is changing the way it indulges itself as more and more folks are becoming conscious of their diets. So we developed a new line of lifestyle products that still give our customers all the delicious taste they have come to expect at Swensen’s. Oh, and don’t forget to stop by our take home department and pick up a pint or quart of your favorite Swensen’s Ice Cream! It’s the perfect treat for an enjoyable evening at home.
